Claire Drennan

Claire Drennan is a fiber artist working in contemporary craft. Originally from East Tennessee, Claire has made her creative home in Houston’s East End since 2014. Claire discovered her love for fiber arts while living in Chile and went on to study Fashion Design at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Claire implements sustainability in her studio practice from sourcing to production and makes use of found, recycled, and sustainable materials. Claire’s work has been shown at Lawndale Art Center, Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, and AMOA. She was the 2019 Guest Artist for the Making a Mark Exhibition at Texas Children’s Hospital and will exhibit her work at Box13 in September of 2020. Claire recently completed an HAA-funded virtual art series, “We Are Friends,” together with artist Eepi Chaad.
